To better understand the nature of the universe and Earth’s place in it, students will investigate the origins of stars and stellar systems to include the Big Bang Theory, solar nebular theory, stellar evolution, constellations and galaxies. Students will also investigate the origin and development of the solar system to include the characteristics and mechanics of the sun, the planets, moons and other celestial bodies within.
